DEXTRA 2K10 - CSE TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM

DEXTRA ’10 – A One day National Level Technical symposium was organized on 04th March 2010. The symposium was well conceived and 150 participants from various colleges participated in various events.

The function was inaugurated at 10.00 a.m. Mr. S. San Kingsley, Student Chairman welcomed the gathering. The student convener Ms. A. Srilakshmi, Lect/CSE, delivered the report of our department. Mrs. K. Geetha, HOD/CSE, felicitated the gathering.
The events such as Paper Presentation, Technical Quiz, Debugging, Marketing, Certificate Design, Photography, Blog, Gaming and Adzap were organized for the day. The prizes for the various events were bagged by the students of Saranathan Engg., College, Oxford Engg., College, J.J. College of Engg. & Tech. , Holy Cross College, Trichy, Jamal Mohammed College, Trichy.
The Valedictory function for the symposium commenced in the afternoon session. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. S. Kamalesh Final Year CSE. The Chief Guest Dr. Hemalatha Thiyagarajan, Prof., Dept. of Mathematics, NIT, Trichy delivered the keynote address and gave away the prizes to the winners of the various events. She made an inspiring speech and urged the students to become entrepreneurs by improving their verbal communication and strengthen the economy of our nation. Mr. A. Subramanian, Chief Executive, Dr. M. G. Venugopalan, Principal, Dr. V. Radhakrishnan, DEAN, Dr. M. Sekar, Registrar, and Prof. P. Vasudevan addressed the gathering and shared their thoughts. The symposium came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. M. Preethi, Final Year CSE.
